Westlake Ace Hardware of Kansas City bought out Clark's Hardware Store from the 7th generation owner (Margaret Clark) in April 2024. John Lawrence Clark (1855–1924) opened Clarks Farm Supplies in 1845, initially on Main St (now Tiber Park) then in 1907 on Maryland Avenue across from the railroad station.
